The Pipe Organ

The first organ was installed in the church in 1896 by Henry Pilcher’s Sons Company from Louisville KY. It was all mechanical and hand pumped. In 1939, Pilcher’s came back and electrified the mechanics and added pipes. In 1968 and 1972 pipes were swapped out to lighten the sound and a new console was added. In 2023 the organ was completely overhauled by Reynold’s Associates of Marian IN. Pipes were added and a new console was installed. There are a total of 3,400 pipes of various age in the organ.
