Adoration

What is Eucharistic Adoration?

Understood simply, Eucharistic Adoration is going to Church and spending time before the Blessed Sacrament to develop a personal and intimate relationship with Jesus in His Eucharistic Presence. As we spend time with Jesus in Eucharistic Adoration, He becomes more and more the center of our life. We grow in holiness, develop a deeper lover for Him, and are able to feel His love for us and receive the strength and hope that we all need in our daily lives.

There is a special type of adoration called Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament where Jesus, still veiled under the appearance of the consecrated Host, is placed in a monstrance on the altar instead of being in the tabernacle. When Exposition is taking place, there must always be two or more adorers present with Jesus.

St. Augustine has the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament every Monday from 9 am to 9pm. If you would like to sign up to be a scheduled adorer and reserve an hour visit with Jesus every week, please contact Kathy Winner @ 419-733-9053 or Brenda Spieles @ 419-305-5894 or to sign up via email click here.
